Used GT500s
I've notice they are beginning to pop up but don't seem to have the interest as new ones even at thousands less. I wonder what Carfax would reveal on some of them.
There was a Torch Red/white stripes coupe in town involved in a serious accident and I've heard it has been repaired and shipped out of state. Ihope whoever buys it finds out about its history

There is a GT500 with 51K miles on ebay which is claimed to be a "Ford test unit" and has the Buy Now of $46K. I just about fell on the floor choking from laughter.

George, +1, that price you speak of, the "4" perhaps should have read a "2". The seller of that car with all the miles, has exceedingly high expectations, then. 51K miles cuts the Market Value of this car at least by half IMO; - given the ADMs still existing on the new ones.
Our dealership had been offered to purchase a black GT500 with aprox. 2400 miles, 2007, loaded, 100k miles Warrenty, but we felt the price should have been mid 40s, instead of the Seller's 54K asking price. This was aprox. two weeks ago.

Add the "heaven knows what that car has been put through" factor. The possibility of the car being driven hard is very likely. Also, I would be very appehensive to accept the likelyhood of all suggested preventive maintenance being properly followed.

That's cheap.
Dealer invoice plus the holdback places a new GT500 coupe with all options around $40K.
He probablly thinks he got a great deal.

+1 I have seen the INv + H.B. at as low as 39300. Most times it is around what George has said. Yes, imagine the way a one year old 50k+ miles car had been driven. Unless it is at about 15k or less, say a salvage price, I would not buy it if only for a custom project or part out.

In the description:
"The car is a rare ebony black with white stripes. Did I mention they are only building 17,000 of these cars (GT500's) in 2007-2008."
+++++++++++++++++++++
Ooooooh...only 17,000?

The display of class was overwhelming as well:
"... Mr Shelby is 84 years old (God rest his soul) and when he passes on this signed collecters car will be worth alot more..."
His persuading yielded a grand total of one unsuccessful bid of $50K.
