Stangnet.com project '07 GT500 for sale

This may be old, don't know, but Mike Rayburn, the owner of www.stangnet.com, is selling his '07 GT500.

That GT500 is a mutt and not mutt is worth what he is asking for.

Agreed, and I'm not slamming the car, but its value as a GT500 is diminished (both due to the mods and by the fact that the "10 GT500 has so much more to offer for only a small bit more).

Ultimately unless this car finds a well heeled owner looking for exactly "that" sort of GT500, the current owner is going to take a beating in the sell price or hold on to it even longer.

and I offer up this rascal as well; http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3D10%26ps%3D63

The owner wants 65k for this "rare" piece of musclecar history!

That guy maxed out his credit cards, now he needs to sell like many before him and the many more to follow. Rather than pimping the ride the guy should have invested in a KR, not that I am a fan of it but at least it would be legit and exclusive. A two-tone GT500? PLEEEESA!

All your points make sense. Most mods are a waste of money, non-refundable. High performance cars which hold high values are stock, low mileage, and pampered.

Mods are like having sex... 10 minutes of pleasure and 20 years of hard labor.

I think that it was tastefully done. I especially like the rear spoiler. Regardless of the mods, there is still no mistaken that it’s a GT500. That said, I’d still prefer a 2010 cost-wise...

Maybe it's just me, but in the 3rd picture down, the stripes look really out of wack. I really like the way everything is carried down to the frt splitter, but those stripes would drive me nuts. lol........not that the stripes on my 5.0 are perfect either. A real PITA to get right!
