I think after the 08"s come out they will make a pretty good adjustment on th remaining 07's.

Do not forget, the end price is usually obtained by the dealers bidding on the cars themselves. That said, the demand is even lower than the end price of the auction. MSRP will come, only one that argues otherwise is dealers and some folks that paid 20k over and do not like the hit they took.

I'll bite....White/Blue, nav etc..10k over, didn't want to, but based off prices I have seen across different sites it seemed about bottom. They had a deal at 17 over, guy couldn't get the money, car came in on a Friday the 11th at noon, I was there at 2:30, looking at a different car, his deal fell thru, I offered the 10k they hit it. They would have liked more, I would have liked less, took 5 minutes. I don't think they will drop too much more, if they do "oh well"...wasn't worth (to me) to wait 4 months to save a few K, while I can drive it now and have fun...BTW, first tank averaged 12 mpg, going to see if I can get that down to single digits...Took place in Northern Jersey.

Many years ago, the statement was made at a local dealer, that "With a stoke of a pen, you could duplicate any car in inventory!" I'm wondering if we are close to seeing that again with the GT500?

Well, Congrats on the new car! I hope one day I'll be able to own one. I'm thinking I should be able to pick up an '07 sometime in 2010 for about 30k

has me thinking, what is everyone's price point? Mine is high 30's. As soon as I can buy a used, low mileage GT500 for 37-38 grand, I'm pulling the triger. My guess is fall 2009 or fall 2010.

If you get to drive a GT500, ADM's suddenly don't mean that much. Unless you can't afford it. No offense meant to anyone. MSRP is what it is. What is a GT500 worth to you is the question.

Yup! Just wait a lttle longer when the Mustangs are not the only thing on the block!!!

For me it isnt the price point. I can afford one of these even at the ADM but I was not willing to do so. I am not a cheapskate but just have something against something costing more than its intended price. No one deserves to get raped.

That was my thinking, PX's dropped and "for me" $5k a year for the fun was worth the ticket...worse case it gets stolen/crashed and I may be out the vig unless I can convince the IN company on the value...

best,

Last 5 sold at Manheim Auctions over the last 3 weeks. Starting to settle down but dealers are still spending 50-53,000 for each one. Some with as much as 1,100 miles on them.

We have a local dealer with a vert GT500 asking 15 over as well. I have yet to actually see a GT500 up close in person. I keep saying I am going to drive over and see it before it is gone. But then I realize that it has been there for months and will probably be there for more at that price. I would like to see one soon though.

That's BS. You'r acting like none of us have driven mid 12 second cars before. 500HP, mid 12 second car stock with plastic interior and vinyl stickers doesn't rate an ADM. $45k is the MAX it's worth.

I can afford very little ADM. I'm still working on a GT500 but we will see. I have a line on two right now, one thats being sold privately and one through a dealer. Both were on ebay and didn't sell, max bid for both was around 50k. Dealers are starting to bend, one telling me he was willing to discuss options.

Well the last four I tried to acquire haven't given in yet.....I think the ADMs are about dead on ebay....I've been watching lately and there's more then a couple auctions ending with the final bid in the high 40's. That wasn't happening just awhile ago....they all usually made it into the low to mid 50's. I think the next step we have to wait out is the dealer's pride and how long their willing to hold on to the ones they paid more then what we're willing to pay....or is it just the 07' are last year already and the 08's will still be with ADMs?....either way it'd interesting to watch the 07's price as the summer wears on here and we get closer to 08s showing up.

The thing that gets me is the last three guys I talked to had no interest in doing a trade-in for their GT500....why is that? We never even talked price on the GT500, just asked if they would take a trade on it, and all three said no.....weird...

Can you find out if it's new or used and which is the color/stripe combo?
