Saw the GT500 'vert Car & Driver is testing....
In Golden Valley MN, at the Citgo on Hwy 55, near Winnetka.
I spotted them at a gas station I was passing so I pulled in. It was an older gent with a woman and some Michigan plates. If I didn't know what to look for, I'd have missed it. It's Vista blue with Tungsten rocker stripes and a black top. It did not have the hood stripes. It said SHELBY on the drivers side of the tail, had the snake on the sides and had the SVT wheels and special hood, etc. They said they were out evaluating the car for an upcoming issue, I think they said September's issue. Anyway, there weren't real impressed with the color choice they were given, said it won't be real photogenic since it's all so dark and without the hood stripes and were afraid it'd be a big dark 'blob' as the woman called it. They also said at this point they weren't sure what it would cost either, suspected around $45K for that car.
FWIW, they said they were having fun in it, and it was fast...DUH!!
Anyway, not a real exciting post, but I was shocked to see one on the way home from Perkins in Minnesota of all things/places yesterday!!
