My black car has no LeMans stripes, but it does have rocker panel stripes. The car is black with white stripes. I'm leaning to either removing the stripes, or replacing them with flat black stripes. Opinions?

 

I'd prefer to leave the car as it left the factory even though I am not particularly fond of white stripes on a black car, my preference would be Alloy Gray.

 

flat black would be cool, but no ones really going to get to notice it.

I'm with george...its a shame you dont like it that way....I think with a car like that...you gotta leave it stock.

 

White stipes on a black car remind me of a skunk. We have a Black GT sitting on our lot right now with OTT stripes and it looks exactly like a skunk. We've had a lot of people look at it but no one is brave enough to buy it. We might just have to resort to removing the stripes to get it out of inventory and on the road.

I'mmore of a leave it stock guy. The dark stripe would look good though. For that matter so would the stripe delete. I guess, go with whatever you like.

 

Red stripes on black.
White = skunk.
Yellow = bumble bee.

Painted mystichrome stripes would look incredible.

 

I have the red interior, so I like my red stripes. If I had a tan or chamois interior, Gold would look better. If you have gray or charcoal, just about anything will work. Don't worry about factory stripes, becuase unless you have a V6 or a Shelby, regular GT Mustangs are not available with rocker stripes from the factory. The white stripes are a dealer add on.
