Pricing Question

Hey Guys,

I'm new here and I have a question on a very strange pricing situation. A local dealer still has a brand new 2008 gt500 on the lot and it's basically loaded. Their website lists the price as $45,900 but I'm guessing this is just MSRP and they are probably willing to deal a little bit in order to get this thing off their lot after two years.

The problem is I have no idea how low to expect them to go. Normally I would just consult KBB, cars.com or autotrader to find a fair price but, as far as I can tell, this is basically the only new 2008 left in the state, maybe even the country. I pretty much have zero information to go off of in this rare situation.

So the question is, what do you think would be a fair price for this new 2008 gt500?

Thanks,
Kaiser

$39,950 at the most. Super low miles, used 2008 GT500's can be had in the $33K-$35K range. New is worth a few thousand more to most people, so high 30's would be about right, IMO.

39'ish for a new untitled 2008 GT500 is a fare price. Remember, you will get the full 3yr/36K warranty, thus, buy new is better than buying used... especially for a car like this... Also note that 2011s are out, so the car is basically 3 years old. They probably want to sell it more than you want to but it, which is advantageous to you as the buyer. Good luck!

39 ish seems steep to me. We have a 2010 GT500 for 40,990. Granted it is used but it is also 2 years newer and the newer generation.
