Thats a great commercial. I was so excited when I saw my first GT500 last night. I was walking home late at night with my friends and saw it parked on a side street. it was a Grabber orange convertible, I stopped in my tracks and stared. I think my friends thought there was something wrong with me. (of course I went over and looked at it... then after I got home I went back)

 

Great commercial,but at the end,(even though you can hear blower whine),I have a hard time believing thats a shelby exhaust tone imo.

 

Just saw that ad in HD, then when back to my tivo and watched it again

 

That was posted on edmunds.com too. Thought that Carrera GT moving over to let the Shelby pass was a little too far-fetched, though. Still, great commercial.

 

maybe the carrera wanted to fell like he was in the US and just cruisin at 70

 

far-fetched? Why? Some guys on this sight claim top end of 170 with a tune.

 

No offense, but 170mph? The Carrera GT is in a different league - think Ford GT territory. A stock Shelby couldn't even hope to pass that thing unless the driver was asleep, out of gas, just cruising, or in reverse.

 

Shelby is Factory Electronic limited to 165 mph - actual road tests and some have gotten 167.5 out of it.

 

In Germany, it's against the law to ride in the left lane. That's something that is strictly enforced too.

Left lane is for passing only.

This is how they can have so few wrecks and have everyone go 100+ MPH.
