Lightning strikes twice in one day!

Today, I'm driving on the far side of town when I was passed by, believe it or not, a medium blue metallic 1968 Shelby with Washington plates. Unfortunately, I was driving my GT, not my GT500 at the time. I never thought I'd see another '60s Shelby on the road. Then later this afternoon on the opposite side of town, I stopped at a local hardware store in my GT500. I walked past a guy getting off his motorcycle. The same guy was in front of me in the checkout line. He says, "Nice looking Shelby. I have one too but it's a '67 KR convertible." I asked him what it's worth. He proceeds to tell me it's been appraised at $200k. Then he says, he bought it from his college professor back in '69 because he wanted the new '69 GTO Judge instead. Get this, the current owner bought it for, drum roll please, $1200.......

How often do you run into ONE classic Shelby in one day much less two! Too bad I never saw the KR convertible...

Kool Willie........Maybe the guy meant 68 gt500KR, no such animal in 67. I had a 68 GT500 for 18 years and NEVER saw another one on the street!
