They aren't shipping because the dealers are overstocked and don't have any more space in their showrooms for the cars. My dealer has allocations for 3 and the one that he has received is stilling in his showroom with AMD of +25K with no takers!

Yeah, because one video of a race between two drivers nobody knows is far more telling than a bone stock 1/4 mile time of 12.2x in a fresh GT500....a feat which no Terminator, broken in or otherwise, has ever accomplished in stock trim with any driver behind the wheel. If people don't like the GT500 more power to them, but to just rattle off random banter makes it seem like your posting simply because you like to hear yourself type and not because you actually having anything to say.

well yeah... but.... Evan Smith ran the 12.2x on a downhill track. It was in all the papers. Oh, and I saw it on the internet so I don't doubt it!

Easy there keyboard muscles...it was a joke!! a-la dancing banana! Get it? Dont get butt hurt about it. Ive owned one '03 10th Anniv., one '04 Cobra Coupe and one '04 Cobra Conv. and they were great cars, but the new one is hands down a better car! A little portly yes, but its worlds ahead in many other aspects. I amazes me how a joking comment on an internet board can get people so fired up over a "car". And for the record, regardless of what is said in that message with the video...that terminator has a pulley...probably 2.93..Ive had several and they dont get that slightly higher pitch without a pulley. No cold air makes it sound like that.

How considerate of Ford. A few hundred GT500s shipped and walla, their finacial woes disappear.

http://www.stangsunleashed.com/index..._articleid=144 "There are several rumors on various web sites about Ford issuing a STOP ORDER shipment for the 2007 Shelby Mustang GT500. Despite those rumors, Ford told StangsUnleashed.com today that they have NOT issued a STOP ORDER shipment for the GT500 and that they are shipping to Ford dealers. In August 2006, Ford shipped over 800 Shelby GT500s from their AutoAlliance assembly plant in Flat Rock, Michigan. The August 2006 sales period marked the highest August sales month for the Mustang since 1979"

Hmm, so SVT claims there is a stop ship but stangsunleashed.com says there isn't. Oh well, glad I'm waiting for the prices to drop before buying one.

... Despite those rumors...

I remember the "rumors" of the '99 Cobras coming short on performance. I also remember the "false rumors" of Ford not making the '00 Cobras.

We are guilty of bearing false witness against thy Ford neighbors.

Anyone know any details Re-clutch problem with the Shelby G.T. 500? Is in fact the Shelby on hold?

Does this have anything to do with the cars having a lower HP than advertised
