I just don't get it!

Ebay is considered a binding contract. Although I am not sure how willing a seller would be to pursure such action.
I am just surprised how willing people are to spend 20K over sticker for this car when a year from now they will be selling them under sticker.

I imagine most people paying 20k over sticker have plenty of money. If I had a couple million I could car less about paying too much. If you are rich and you want the car just get it and don't be concerned with the price. Once thye run out of those people the price will come down.

Huhhh.... that's the car at my local dealership down the street!
They were advertizing in the local paper that they had a Gt500 on their showroom floor, OF COURSE i had to call, i asked how much over MSRP they were asking, and was asked are you local? (answer YES) well, why don't you stop in and we'll talk? (reply..... How much over MSRP?) well, it's on e-bay right now with 3 hrs left to auction. (ohhhh o.k.) then i get how about you give me your phone # and we can talk. (must be waiting to see what happens in auction) (reply no, i'll just look on e-bay) 65K! I think not!! I should go over and see if it's still on the floor or not..... Hummmmmm

I think if you can wait until spring, you will be doing yourself a big favor. One thing is for certain, the longer you wait, the more you will save. Also, we may see Ford improve this car a bit. We have heard some complaints about the clutch engagement and rumors about a handling improvements.

I went past our local deal who has a GT500 on the ground. I ask him what he's asking for the car and he him-haw's around a bit and says he just had a guy offer 80K but that he has a couple more serious buyers coming in and offering 90K. Then he goes on to say that on ebay they are going for way more than that and expects his to go for over 100K. The only remaining question I had was where did he get the crack he was smokin!

It takes patience and I am running out of mine. So much so that I am going back to take a 3rd look at a Roush 427R tomorrow. I don't think I am going to buy, yet. It just depends on how much willpower I have not to sign the papers. If the prices aren't significantly down by Spring on the GT500s, I will surely be ordering a 427R.
We had just gotten in a Grabber Orange Roush 427R with all the options and she is a sweet car. All decked out, it will cost about 50K. Not all decked it will cost about 43K.
If you have your heart set on a GT500 and you have waited this long, I encourage you to wait it out.
She is worth some over in a current Market sense, but i agree, not what they are at right now.
You will find if this is what you really want and then later she comes, then the wait will be worth it. Been dreaming of mine since the Concept came out more than two years ago and through a painful and pricey road to get to her, i can say by experiance, wait for her.
The Roush is a fine car too, but you will be left feeling like something is missing if it is the GT500 that you want the most.
I know it has been a journey for you thus far with the waiting, but listen to a person who has been there, made the mistakes along the way and had to learn from them.

I called Curie Ford today (the shelby dealership in the top post) to see if it was still on the floor..... Nope! It was taken a few days ago!! Ohh, well, i just wanted to see if i can go drool over it for awhile, and maybe drive home in it...... Then sleep in it after my wife finds out how much i spent on it! JK
They did tell me that they are expecting a couple of more soon, and their intention is to go the same route..... E-BAY!
Well, i can't say i blame them, hey if someone is going to pay over, make your $!! I personally am cloneing mine to hold me over untill i can one day actually get one! So, that being said, I'll wait as long as it takes.....

I help sell Roushes and SVT at my local Dealership. It is a rather large Dealership and we had one of the largest allotments of SVTs in the Country.

Actually, I took it for an extended drive tonight putting my foot a little deeper into the accelerator and taking some quicker turns. I really loved the Roush. It has a sleeper look and a muscle car feel to it. It gets up and goes plenty and turns quite nicely.
Even though I wanted to buy it, I decided to wait it out and watch the market a little longer. I'll likely watch it until March and see what happens. IF the ADMs continue to fall at the current rate, I am sure the car will be MSRP by next Summer. IF it shows no sign of letting up, I'll re-evaluate then and likely order a new Roush 427R.

Thanks for the advice. I was hoping someone would come along and post some sense into me.

WAIT. Other wise when you see one on the road you will be doing this

I will for now. It is nice to know that if the GT500 does not work out, I will still get something that will fill the void nicely. It really is a special car. It has a lot of character.

I haven't bought yet either, for the same reason. I think that by spring things will slow down, or I hope so, too! I guess we're a couple of vultures, these days, huh?

No, I had a few MSRP deals in the works that decided to "wait and see what the market will do." Most of them have not gotten their cars yet. I hope they don't for a while and they show up in the Spring all at once.

Ahh, I see. You are lucky. I got so disgusted with my dealers that I went out & bought an F-150 (FX4) from a dealer that didn't try to me from behind. Now, I watch & wait. And I won't forget to ignore those dealers as they are now on my banned from business list. Never had one of those until now...
