WOW that is one slick looking ride. To bad its not a real Saleen GT 500. Wow that Saleen body kit is really nice looking on the GT 500. Looks great without the cheap plastic splitter. Great find!

What a waste of $$ and labor. The end result looks like crap. The stock GT500 they started with looks far better. This looks like a mutant cross with the aftermaket body panels that they are. Good luck proving any true value for this car after the initial sale.

Get Carrols ink on it and it will sell to some desperate type. I can not for the life of me understand how the hype is going to last into the new year, but it is. I am reminded of girls in the sixties who would refuse to wash their hands after being touched by a "star" like Donovan or the King. Same thing, less credibility. Wonder how that's worked out for the now 60+ year old dears...

I don't like it period. If it were actually made by Saleen it might carry some value. This one, however, is a Dealer package.

Is that a Dodge Grill ? and the location of the strips uggh. What a dealer hoped to accoplish by doing things , You think they'd hang here a while and get an education.

This auction ended with a top bid of 47,200. Just a wee bit short of the 84 they were hoping for.

In the spirit of the season, that gives me hope for humanity

Wouldn't that just be the best if they had to eat it and recover the cost by selling the original parts to build a clone? Sweet irony save me.....

MSRP plus the Saleen crap, a very handsome offer considering they made a mut out of a pure breed. What a bright idea! Why other dealers have not thought about that is beyond me.

Never underestimate the dealers' "bright ideas"! Maybe they took the leftover GT500 parts and threw it on the "donor S281" to make a "rare" edition Saleen.

And 395 miles is a long way from brand new!! Heck, I've had my GT for almost three months now and only have 670 miles on the clock!!

Don't worry somewhere there is a dealer reading this and saying "Gee what a GREAT idea"......that's a shame what they did to that Shelby....the grill and front fascia look like something off of one of my neice's Barby cars....

That is AWEFUL!!!!!

Why would you do that?! Only reasonable explanation I can think of is that the dealer wanted the GT500 parts for their own car.
