How much is it worth?

GT500, Torch Red/Performance White, PTIP, Shaker 1000, 2,500 miles, wrecked, $14K worth of repairs. The are disparities on gaps of as much as 1/8 of an inch between body parts (doors, fenders, hood, trunk, and body). From a distance it looks fine, up close is a different story. Anyone with a keen eye and attentive to detail will notice this car has involved in an accident.

I am ignorant ( ... on second thought we best call that... misinformed ) to the following and what is acceptable or not, whether it is measured in centimeters or something else. The wheel allignment is within .2 or .3, the standard being .5, or so I was told. The measurements could be .02, .03, and .05 respectively instead.

Thoughts? Opinions?

Its the frame that counts the most, not the outside.
Have an expert put it on a frame machine and he will tell you what it is worth

"SELLING NEW FOR $60-$70,000

SAVE THOUSANDS NOW AND BUY THIS LIKE BRAND NEW 2007 FORD MUSTANG SHELBY GT500 WITH 2300 MILES!

Local Trade Customer has Second GT500 on Order

To drive this car is to believe it. There are no words that I can type in this auction to explain the power this car has if you did not already know that you probably would not be reading this!

Mechanically the car has been inspected bumper to bumper and we could not find a single problem. The car is in brand new condition and has not even been fully broken in yet. The tires, a/c, transmission, electronics and all systems which are still under the factory warranty are in perfect brand new condition.

Cosmetically the car is LIKE BRAND NEW. There are no scratches, dents, dings or problems with the paint whatsoever. The previous owner is a non-smoker and the car smells brand new!

In other words, THIS IS AN AWESOME CAR!!!"

Hopefully lots of folks will see this and realize that a clean Carfax report means zippo. Only a handful of states record accident claims on titles. Most only report total losses. Way too much value is placed on a clean Carfax. If this car is truly that poorly done, it's basically worthless as far as I'm concerned. I'd be willing to bet the $14k in repairs SHOULD have been $20k to do it right.

I was under the impression CarFax reports were base on incidents based on paid damage claims by insurance companies rather than police reports.

That's true.
Also dealer repair reports.
You should see what doesn't get reported.
If a dealer principal wrecks the car himself, he can pay his people cash to repair the car. No insurance report, no CarFax. Or maybe just some one with cash that knows the dealer. These things do happen. Be careful.
