GT500 vs GT supercar
#1
What is the Shelby missing in the motor VS the GT supercar that has 550 hp. Shelby has 475hp. Block does not make the difference except maybe the oiling system might add some power for the supercar (dry sump). Heads are the same I think. I see where the supercar has 2 injectors per cylinder(If I read the specs correct). Are the blowers different or the boost pulley? Just wondering. Thanks.

Yeah, the GT has a 2.4 liter twin screw whereas the GT500s got a roots blower. But, other than that, they're virtually identical as far as power-making parts are concerned. In other words, I wouldnt invest much faith in Ford's claimed numbers.

So Ford claims, but its not. Maybe Fourcam will see this thread and give Scott the skinny, hes scarily knowledgeable.
