I think the only thing im not crazy about the shelby are the stock mustang GT type exhaust tips.Im thinking that the mufflers will be the same as the stang GT, so im hoping aftermarket exhaust systems will bolt right on.I will e-mail borla and see if they have any info.

 

The GT500 comes with a factory X-pipe. I doubt the mufflers will be Mustang GT issue.

The only way I see that is if they are trying to choke down some of that massive power. In which case, a simple order to Bassani or Borla should unlock a fair amt of sound and power.

 

I remember reading before that FRPP offered performance packages for the GT that you could have installed at the dealership and stay under the warranty. I wonder if they will do the same with the Shelby?

To me I would be happy to pay to have added performance items put on the car that fall under warranty. It also allows your Shelby to be more unique straight from the dealership.



Anyone hear any more news on this?

 

I was hoping for a rolled-tip and better flowing performance for a possible GT retrofit. Might be the same piece as the GT, looks like. You know, cost cutting and all.

 

They should have kept the "rolled tip".....it looks so much better than that "cut pipe" look. I would have to upgrade that piece just for looks, if nothing else.
