GT500. Is it boring to look at?

Hon, it IS too high priced.
For what people are paying, I would have prefered if Ford had offered a more upscale interior and just charged a higher MSRP to begin with. It would have been more difficult for dealers to justify such high ADMs if Ford were demanding more from the factory to begin with.

You make a good point. But, perhaps the Dealers would have put just as large ADMs despite this. Aside from a few gripes, overall my Angel is right for me.
In wanting a real Shelby for years and not knowing they would issue another this day in age, I feel lucky to have it at all. Plastic is a compromise IMO.

I could not disagree more, the GT500 is a fantastic looking car, the spoiler is low profile but the design flows well with the back and side view. The rear while missing the S H E L B Y center has the nice GT/CS bumper that matches the flat black rockers making the entire side more uniform. The front is extremely well done, the open mouth grill and bumper mounted fogs is a great look for this body style. The interior is not really up for debate IMO because this is the exact same interior for all the Stangs. Yes it's a bit too much plastic but it is far from the worst interior I have seen (the Nissan 350Z's appliance garage door over the entertainment center is pretty ugly). Also the only thing that makes the car ridiculous is the ADM other wise I think that despite the plastic interior of the Stangs the GT500 has the power under the hood to justify every penny of MSRP. The plastic inserts on the hood are a non issue for me as well as there are billet inserts or the options of crome plating/painting them.

I think it's a great looking car! If I could afford it at MSRP I would own one.
I saw a red and white one the other day with a Shelby windshield banner. I thought to myself that it was kind of sad that the guy had to put that on there because any Mustang lover knows that it is a Shelby GT500~

That would be an excellent addition for the likes of the Carrera GT and the Vanquish as well.

I've never seen one on the road either! I did see one up close at the auto show though! (up close as in, behind ropes! ) I also saw one at a car show! AND the state fair! Personally, I prefer the looks of the GT, but I do LOVE the GT-500!

I've seen 3 in my lifetime, 2 Black (one with stripes, one without) and 1 white w/ blue stripes. Everytime I see one, I'm overcame with an awe-struck feeling. My eyes can not be unglued from gazing at them. I got to sit in one at a dealership and I didn't want to get out haha. Yes, there were not many changes from my POS $20,000 V6 Mustang but that doesnt matter to me. If I were to buy a GT500, I wouldn't be buying it because it has the "prettiest" interior, I would be buying it for the raw power from under the hood.
I LOVE GT500!

I just [know] You are going to give me **LL for this one - lol - Once the window tint brow went on and it is far from legal, needed something to help it blend. Police here look for any reason to haul over a sport car. Also to make it look different than the others.

The 3rd brake light has to be where it is. There is already a lot of spoiler in the rear view mirror. If you added a a light above that you would not be able to see out. I have had more poeple taking pic's of this car when driving then ever in my Cobra. I have looked up to see the guy in the car behind me taking a shot with his cell phone at lest a few times. Beside this car handles like a dream and the brakes are to die for.

Looking again at the rear concept picture:
To me the SHELBY letters placed in the middle would look nice on a solid colour (non-stripe) car, but look a bit "lost" or "incomplete" going from colour to stripe and back to colour again. Maybe that's why it was moved to the side, so that all the letters would be on the same colour background.

Me three. I did see one at the Chicago auto show the last two years. I love the look, but hate the stripes. Give me a clean no stripe one and I'd pay MSRP for it. It's the best of the 03-04 Cobra combined with the best of the 2005+ Mustangs.
