I agree. I have called around to al lmy area dealers and they are all selling at 15K or more over MSRP. Its their right to do so but it will just keep me from buying one, as well as a new truck at years end from them. They dont understand that what makes them great is the average person buying their cars not the donkey named jack with huge $$ willing to overpay.

That's thousands more than I paid for my GT. And that 30K doesn't even include the price of the car. I must find out what the winning bidder does for a living to have that kind of money laying around. I'm in the wrong line of work.

I wonder how many of the dealer's employees are bidding on it?

I just love how a single bidder seems to bump the price several thousand dollars.

THEMSELVES!!!
Over at BON, there were guys that asked for help with the bidding when they had cars or parts up for sale on ebay. All that was needed was one very interested French suckier and the bidding really took off.
It is not like this seller has discovered the world is round. The "phampton bidding" is as old as auctions have existed, which is almost as old as the world's oldest profession.

The reason it looks like the same person keeps upping the bid is because their bid has not met the highest bid amount put in place by a previous bidder. If Bidder A puts in a highest bid of $20,000 but the current bid is at $10,000 and Bidder B starts bidding $11,000 and then $12,000 and so on to slowly increment the bid up to the ceiling that Bidder A will go up to, it looks like Bidder A keeps bidding over and over again. Please don't look for a conspiracy where there is none.
Of course this has nothing to do with fake bidders driving the price up. That activity happens all the darn time. Flea-bay, gotta love it!

There's a sucker born every minute. Well, in this case, it looks like 11 suckers.

Wow, those are a steal the two GT 500s at my local dealer were both sold at 35,000 over MSRP. They don't even have cars yet, but they sold those order forms. I will stick with my Saleen...

...or a Z06 vette for that much money! But they probably up the price on that as well!

How about this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-Mustan...sspagenameZWDVW
quote from seller: "This auction is for a pre sale ticket on my 07 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT GT500, There is only 1000 being sold and 1 of them sold for over $400000 at Barret Jackson Auction this year."
Or this one having a buy it now of $99,998.00 over MSRP, LOL

Well, if I have access to a '07 Shelby, should I order a coupe or convertible(assuming I am going to turn around and sell it for a profit?)
I would order mine as a black coupe with stripe delete, but I'd kinda like to hear other opinions about what would be most "desirable" on the open Market. I am thinking a red convertible with white stripes.
