GT 500 oil

Does the GT 500 come with synthetic oil? What oil filter is it using? An FL-1 HP?

Requires 5W50 synthetic and an FL-820S filter. 6.5 qts. Castrol Syntec is available a number of places. Motorcraft only seems to sell this weight through the dealer at a rediculous price.

Anybody discount this like 05StangKC or other vendors from the site? Group buy? I plan to change frequently and would like to use the motorcraft.

Any particular reason why? Motorcraft does not blend their own oils. They have sourced Mobil and BP (Castrol parent) at different times past. Not positive which is the current supplier but would suspect BP as that is who supplies the plant for bulk oil on the assembly line.

Not really. But, if the price is similar, I'd just assume use what is recommended in the manual. I realize it won't make a difference. If the price is significantly higher, I'll use another.
