That's the car, that dealer has had it for at least 6 months. I forgot the name of the dealer but if you do a google and go on their site there should be more pics. I found it odd that one side had more pics than the other.
It was this pic that look odd to me:
Attachment 35294
Also, I was concerned with the gaps between the door and the fender and the door and the quarter panel.

Actually it is like a curse, I unconsciously notice the smallest detail but I could be wrong in this case. My opinion is meant to bring awareness and perhaps be helful not spoil Willie's party.
I considered that car and made an offer for the original MSRP of $43,570 contingent on a personal inspection and acceptance of a trade. The offer was not accepted so I never bothered to drive to the dealer to inspect it. If my memory serves me right, its only option was the Premier Trim Package. One negative I found was the absence of the window sticker. I consider documentation as an item of importance on a car of this caliber and lead me to conclude the dealer did not get the car from the original owner.
Willie: wouldn't it make more sense to pay a couple of thousand dollars more and buy a new one?

George,
You are not spoiling my party in the least. I definitely appreciate your insight. I will investigate further on the anamolies you state.
I'm looking very closely at your pic, zooming in on it as much as I can but I'm just not seeing the difference in the gaps. Also, the wheel looks centered in the wheelwell to me. Can you point out in the pic where you're seeing these? Do these areas look any different on the pic of my car?
I know Carfax isn't 100 percent foolproof but a copy of it indicates no problems.
I believe the reason why the original window sticker is not available is because the car was originally registered as a corporate vehicle, not a private party. Who knows what happened to the sticker. I'm guessing it was discarded. It was then sold at an auction on 05/19/07 with a reported 513 miles, probably to the current seller. I've run into an absence of a window sticker countless times in the past when purchasing a used vehicle. I'm not saying this is the case here but it's possible.
The current seller is also willing to take the car to a Ford dealership for a full inspection; this being a contingency prior to my purchase. Also, I know one person who lives in Orlando. I could possibly pursuade ($$$) him to personally inspect the vehicle and take it for a drive.
As far as options, it does have the premier interior trim package and the Shaker 1000. The only other options I know of for 2007 are the Sirius and striping.
I really prefer an '07 to an '08. I've found a number of extremely low mileage '07s and figured I couldn't go wrong with purchasing any of them.

A few deales in rural areas of Oklahoma are selling for sticker, but seems all are white w/ blue stripes. If you find a Tungsten or Black or some other color they seem to be 2-5k over sticker.
Ok I need a used Tungsten or Black for about $40000. If anyone has a lead on one let me know. Mileage doesn't matter, but I would prefer it be at a dealership as I have a trade in.

What I can suggest is for you to compare pictures of both sides of the car and see if you can see a difference.
* BTW, the picture I posted was from (your) post# 19.
George,
I've downloaded all the pics of this car from their website. I just don't see anything that would raise a red flag.
I'm trying to make a decision on purchasing this car by the end of today. If there is any doubt in my mind to its authenticity, I'll withhold.

George,
There's absolutely no reason to apologize. I'm appreciative that you took the time to reply here with your concerns. I wish there were more people like you, that have the desire to help others.
I'm definitely going to have this car inspected by an independent dealer. The seller is willing to do this at his cost. What I think I'll do is pick another dealer (not the one the seller suggests) and if the seller refuses, then that raises a red flag in my opinion. Thoughts?

...What I think I'll do is pick another dealer (not the one the seller suggests)... "
That's a very good idea.
One of my doubts was why would anyone get rid of such a car in demand with such low miles after going through the trouble of getting it? The other is the demand for the car in such a large city where the car is and no takers. When I spoke to the owner I was told there was a lot of interest locally for this car and I assume many have gone to see it.
Another unrelated factor that got me thinking was there another GT500 here in town for sale with 3K miles which had sustained almost $14K in damages and from a distance one could not tell the difference but up close it was obvious. The details of the damage was not volunteered but was provided only when I pointed some of the flaws and that I would be interested only if I the knew the extent of damage and repairs done. It turns out the body shop blended and faded the new paint on to the rest of the surrounging areas of the damage so there would be no visible difference. I belief it was sold to someone in New York.
There are a lot of sharks out there so you might understand the reasoning for my apprehension.

Do you guys think that the arrival of the Camaro and Challenger will help reduce the price of the GT500? I'd love to own one one day. But, I personally could never pay an ADM for any vehical no matter how small. Am i just never going to own one? lol Or perhaps the new bodystyle change coming up? I know that 04' SVTs sold with rebates to make room for the 05's

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be leveling off to a bargain status as many predicted it would be. There has been a few MSRP sales but they are far and in between. Mine were out of state purchases, spent countless hours seeking within 700 miles. 10k units in annual production with 20% of those being convertibles is not much and most who get their hands on one are not likely to get rid of them. It is my belief the GT500 is the best Mustang ever, many seem to share my opinion and the reality of its availability is a key factor in pricing.

I agree with this but you'd be surprised what some folks with a lot of money will do sometimes that makes no sense/logic whatsoever to those who don't enjoy such fortunes.
Take my word for it ... and if you don't want to ... just give me the chance to give you the story on DHG 1276 before I got it a little over a year ago with less than 8000 miles on it.

I had predicted that the '07 would be around $40k when the '08s were introduced. I was slightly off. Today, there of several units being sold in the mid to high 40k range with the remainder from 50k to 70k (still..!). I predict this trend will continue and that whatever dealer addendums that still exist today will quickly go away in the next six months or so. I have spoken with a number of salespeople in the past week who still insist on a $20k addendum. To these people, I have "kindly" forwarded them links to similar cars (some with even lower mileage than theirs) selling in the $46k to $51k range. I have also asked these salespeople one question, "Why would I buy yours at $65k when there are several more to choose from for $15k to $18k cheaper?" They will eventually realize this IS the reason why their units aren't selling.

I'm going to speculate here. Right now, I believe the prices are falling very quickly. The longer a dealership has the car, the less he will make on it. Only six months ago, these cars were selling in the $55k to $60k range. Not today. So if a dealership purchased one, say, four months ago, the best he can do today would be to take what little profit there still is to take or worse, take a loss before it becomes a bigger loss. So the quicker he can sell, the sooner he can get out from "under it". What none of us knows is how much a specific dealership paid for a specific car. My logic is probably ridden with bullet holes....
FYI, there are a couple others for sale on Cars.com for approximately the same price, $47k, with virtually zero miles. On SVT Performance, there's a white / blue with only 250 miles that a private party has for sale for $46.5k. So by no means is the one I'm considering purchasing the only one with less than 1000 miles going for this price.
Roger, I requested in writing (e-mail) from the dealership three items:
1) An inspection of the vehicle by someone of MY choosing (thanks for the help here!),
2) An OASIS report, &
3) A copy of the original window sticker, which I know they do not have.
Failure to comply to all my requests will result in a non-sale, which was my stipulation. I have put down $500 to secure the vehicle. I don't know if I'll get any/all of this back. Let's see how they reply.
I'm kind of hoping they don't cooperate because I'm having second thoughts about red w/white stripes. I'm kind of diggin' the white w/red stripes.....
