Goodyear to be the O.E. Tire

Glad to see at least Goodyears goin on these GT500's

Directly from Goodyear's Tire HQ for dealers.

New P255/45ZR18 & P285/40ZR18 Eagle F1 SuperCar for Shelby GT500

In 1968, one of the hottest cars on the market was the legendary Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang – naturally, equipped with Goodyear tires: Goodyear Speedway 350 E70 raised white letter, nylon tires, rated to 130mph!!!

In 2006 we are pleased to announce that the Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang and Goodyear tire tradition continues with the introduction of the 2007, 475-horsepower Ford Shelby GT500………again equipped exclusively with Goodyear tires: P255/45ZR18 99W Eagle F1 SuperCar tires in the front, and P285/40ZR18 Eagle F1 SuperCar tires in the rear!!!!

I would be pleased too if I knew the tires would have to be replaced within 13K miles, at $300 a pop.

Bet on it. Wife's Infiniti G35 with the sport suspension pkg had a soft Goodyear on it, and I'm sure it isn't close to the performance tire on the GT500. Barely got 15K out of them. The replacement Goodyear, which I didn't buy, was about $200/tire.

When you buy a GT500 I don't think your looking for good tire wear. I could see someone now. "My GT500 got 60k on the last set of tires!" lol
