I just read(to my disbelief), that the quarter mile time for the GT500 is roughly the same as the Terminator('03/'04 SVT) times. They are both running high 12s. Even though the GT500 is heavier, it has 100+ more HP. So why is every1 saying the GT500 is more beastly than it's predecessor?

 

Shelby traps higher mph then the terminator. Guess the weight and the extra power make for some hard launching. But stock for stock the car is faster then a 03-04 and can be modded even easyer with the extra .8 liters.

 

Many Guys are running a JLT CAI and Evo Tune and getting 65 at the wheels;- making them 500 at the wheels with just the one bolt on.

 

Not to mention you don't have to deal with the SN95 interior anymore

I'd have bought a Terminator if the inside of the car wasn't terrible
