Flashing the Chip?

Anybody heard of this? Apparently, Ford delivers the Shelby's to dealers with reduced horsepower settings until 2500 miles, then the full 500 kicks in. Evidently, disconnecting the battery for 3 minutes will fool the system and kick in the full 500 hp.

The computer keeps the SC from engaging until 5 continuous miles are run.
