I don't believe he got killed. Look at the car for a second. The entire passenger compartment is intact and the airbags went off. The windshield in the GT500, from what I can see, is still intact. Maybe the guy died of a heart attack?
From that truck being way over next to the curb, I'm thinking the truck was the one not in the right place, but it's really hard to tell for sure.
And the hood and front end look very close to how my car looked after my accident, and I never actually even touched the air bag. I'm casting my vote for other physiological conditions, not an injury from this accident, that put the guy in the hospital.

If you look close during the video you can see that the dealer tag is still on the back of the Shelby. Also....rescue was trying to pry open the hood of the truck. Why would they need to open the hood of the truck except maybe to figure out why the driver of that vehicle was injured so badly or why the truck ended up on the wrong side of the road.
My theory.....the guy driving the truck saw the Shelby and, much like a new driver, drove toward what he was staring at. When he hit the Mustang his chest hit the steering wheel (because trucks that are that old rarely, if ever, have airbags) causing his heart to begin quivering instead of beating normally. When the paramedics arrived they shocked him to try get his heart to settle down, but because it took them more than 5 minutes to get there the drivers chances of recovering had dropped 80%.
That is just my theory....but I have too much info....my girlfriend is a nurse in a trauma ICU. I would be willing to bet that the GT500 driver was not the serious injury because of all of the safety equipment in the GT500 and the fact that they said, "The other driver did not suffer any injuries."

I would think the one who paid the highest AMV of the two is.
Being a ex-FireFighter, they were prying open the Hood to get to the Battery to kill all the power to the truck. It is a common practice after all the victims have been treated and removed. It's a safety issue to kill the power, no more sparks, etc., etc.
