That's definitely the most positive review Ive seen for the GT500. That's a good sign. The 4.5 0-60 is better too.

I agree. I like how they explain about the extra weight and how much fun it is to drive.

You should just slap him across the face with a big copy of the ford parts catalog next time you talk to him. I think there are a lot of dealers out there who aren't real mustang enthusiasts. So do you guys think this car can really do under a 12.5 with a good driver? Almost all the reviews so far have just loved the transmission. I think it's going to be like driving a real beast. My guess is that most novices might even accidently slide off the road by giving it two much gas in first and second. What a ride!

Take a look at the scanned article in this thread:

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=48106

It says one of the magazine testers ran a 12.25.

Careful, you reference that 12.25 too many more times and you'll wear it out...

I very positive write up! And the numbers seem a bit more in line with the advertised HP. Maybe some of the other mags got some ragged-out testers or something.

I, too, think the Performance Interior Trim Package (how does it help the performance?) should be standard for the ~$40K Ford's asking, along with an AL block to alleviate some of the stupendous 350lb powertrain weight gain.

Too bad that doesn't sound like a tested number, but rather a "Ford expects the car to pull zero to 60 in the mid-4-second range" number. In fact, everything in that article sounds more "it felt..." instead of "it did...."

Maybe I read it wrong.

Glad they liked it though.
