Between this picture and the other thread with the GT500 without the decklid "SHELBY"... http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=53590

looks like Ford is providing more variety than expected.

A GT500 without the "Shelby" is just wrong, IMO.

However it did get me thinking... Wonder if someone is taking the GT500 facia off and putting the normal GT facia on...

Will these be worth more than "regular" GT500's in the distant future? "Yeah, this car had the Shelby badge delete option", "And this one had the partial stripe delete option", "This one got a CS/GT bumper option..." Maybe that's why Ford issued the stop ship order, since they found some extra pieces? Oops.

Well, we could be jumping the gun a bit here since there is the possibility this started life as a GT500 with rocker stripes only and the dealer is responsible for adding the incomplete kit themselves. However, even if this is Ford's oops, stuff like this happens all the time. At the Volvo dealership I used to work at I would occasionally end up doing the inspections on the incoming new vehicles and I've found much worse than these. Same thing happened next door at the Toyota lot too. The only difference is people didn't really care in those instances, and we always fixed it before it hit the lot unlike these guys how obviously think a GT500 with anything missing will be worth more as a "factory flaw". In fact, I wonder if some of these dealers might not be taking stuff off of the cars and claiming they came this way hoping somebody will be enough of a sucker to think "collectible" and plunk down an even bigger ADM?

Is there anyway to get the center badge for the steering wheel yet? K/C had told me it would interfear w/ the air bag system.....

I noticed the grips were missing too. Although it does have the GT500 gauge cluster.

that's pretty much a V6/GT IUP wheel with a GT500 badge. The real GT500 wheel has more leather and the metal spokes on the bottom are dark
