Delivered my 2nd Shelby yesterday

Both of my sold Shelby's cam in this week. The 1st one was a red coupe for a power lease customer and the second a red vert for a good fleet customer of mine. I have seen numerous ictures on line as most of you have but until you see and sit in one live, you can't get the real feel for the car. Needless to say, both customers have a grin a mile wide.
This morning i got to take the vert for a 15 minute ride and was thoroughly impressed. Besides the obvious performance, the handling and shifting is so much more crisp than my GT. The 6-speed has a shorter throw than my 5-speed and it shifts very smoothly. I also noticed a marked difference in the braking aspects. The best word to describe the whole package is SWEET!

Thumbs up

Looks great in red! I'm thankful that Ford built this car for the sake of the wonderful additions to the parts bin, some of which I have already taken advantage of for my GT. It's a great car, just a little heavy. I still wouldn't mind having one though.

hey Ed, I have a dumb question for you. I have looked on here but not found the info and my sales person has no idea. What colors can you get the Shelby in? I would like to get one in Satin Silver with the ghost silver stripes. I havent seen one mentioned yet and only thing close I have seen is the Tungsten. Just would like to know for the day that we may be able to get one for MSRP or lower. TY

Interesting...that kinda changes my whole thinking on the car. I was really wanting the Satin..actually the Titanium from the proto would be even better. Now I must rethink my choices. As always thats for the great info Ed

I believe that he sold them at MSRP to his top customers.

I personally sold both cars at MSRP.
I have a 3rd one that is supposed to pull this week or next that I also have sold for MSRP.
The salespeople here hate me as they did not get to sell any of them. I had deposits on Shelby's before most of them even knew the car was coming out.

You got that right! I had my 1st one already scheduled before most of them had a clue. It's really sad but I've been putting up with it for 25 years; and the dumb questions that they constantly come into my office and ask. I ask them "Don't you know where the #$%*@ the spec books are?" The normal response is "It's a lot easier to ask you". So sometimes I #@&% with them and make stuff up; and they take it as gospel.

LOL, do you by chance train people at other dealerships too with that BS info??!LOL Seems most dealerships around the country must have taken that course from you Yea it seems to me that most salespeople see now is the $$ of the AMD. They dont care about the customer. I have been hounding my salesguy for a year about the GT500 and info and can he get me one and when he gets his in to call me. Well he hasnt gotten it in yet but I figured when they announced the Shelby GT he would at least call to tell me about it, even though I already knew about it. But he wouldnt know that. Well its been over a week and nothing. For all the $ they are getting they should use some to train people.

Heck, a lot of the managers know less about the product than the salespeople. All they know is how to work deals and maximize profit.
