Could Not Believe it....

I went to my local dealship and about choked when I seen there show room.

They had five Shelby's in there show room with another expected for delivery that night.
Now they have six Shelby's in the show room.

The internet salesman said that four of the six were already sold.
Three to one guy in Alberta Canada at 20K over invoice for each of them.
The the fourth to someone in Indiana I think for 23K over invoice.

Here is a link to the Ebay sale of the black vert they got in that night.

When I picked my daughter up from work I told her about the show room and she said she had to see them. So we went and drooled for a very long time over them.

The internet salesmen was very nice about letting us look over them as we had told him that there was no way that we would be getting one. He offered to open one up for us to look inside, we said that was ok we will just drool from the outside.

I was just excited to see the one they had out side in person as I thought I would never see one, let alone to go inside and see 5 there together.

Anyway here is the link

Funny now it is showing the white one with blue stripes, a few minutes ago it was the black vert hmmm who knows.

OK this one is for the black one

Six at one dealer, at the same time. Seems there arriving faster and not moving as fast. You say four are sold? Who knows. It's hard to believe the dealer. Everything they say seems to be geared towards leading us to believe that these cars are all going to sell for ADM forever. They sit long enough, the prices will start to fall. Keep us posted on there status.

Really? They will be plentiful eventually. I have seen a few on the road already and I live in a small (75K) indiana town.

White coupe- no reserve..... Asking price 68k
Black vert- no reserve..... Asking price 74k
Hmmmm
Don't you think they'd put a reserve price on it if they can sell them for 23k over sticker?

And why on earth would they still be sitting on the showroom floor if they were already sold?

Because you get them where you can and pick them up or ship them when you can?

They don't need a reserve if they are starting the auction at those prices. They don't have to worry about the price ending up lower, since the starting bid will be their asking price.
That way they avoid having to pay exorbitant "reserve auction" fees to ebay.

As I was saying, If they're asking $74,389 and the Ebay auction is SOLD at $60,489 for a 'vert, seems like the ones they have sold on their showroom for $23K are a little "exorbitant" and they can't find any local buyers willing to pay the markup. The prices are dropping and they're gonna be giving them away soon!!!
