What are the pros and cons of the 2.8 and 2.6 blower pulleys? Can the stock internals withstand the extra boost?

 

I have the 2.6 on mine. The boost only increased to 12 to 13. The engine can withstand much more than that.

Pros - More power - more blower whine (which I like) - the pulley and idler look cool.

Cons - I t would probably be difficult to get the 2.6 hub off to re-install the 3.0 stock pulley if you ever wanted to. You have to be careful to not damage the 3.0 when you pull it off.

 

Cons - blower whine (I like some whine, but, not so much that you can't hear the V8 (which is my favorite part). Potential warranty claim denial.

Pros - DUH! More power, sooner in the powerband.

 

There is a 'dress up' 3.0 pulley that fits the hub.

 

Sure is
