• Job #1 is still June 5th, with the OK to ship planned for the last week of June.
• SVT is now planning to build 9,000 GT500's for 2007.
• Final allocations to dealers by the end of May.
• Hero cards to be sent to dealers in June.
• The premium interior option includes red stitching. The dash top is not leather, though, but a soft trim substance.
• SIRIUS available at Job #1.
• No brokering of GT500's will be allowed. The customer must buy from SVT certified dealer only.
• Significant markups over MSRP are being heavily discouraged by SVT.
• No commodity restriction on convertible vs coupe. Order either in whatever % dealer chooses to.

Lastly, MSRP was NOT announced today! It is to be announced in the last week of May along with V6/GT Mustang pricing. However, the GT500 Marketing Manager made a very interesting comment. He said that while the GT500 will be one of just 10 or so cars on Earth with 500 or more horsepower, it will be the only one priced "under $50,000." Interpret that comment however you like, and please don't shoot the messenger!

 

Being discouraged, what with a wave of the finger and a stern please don't do it...thats a joke and we know it,price gouging is as american as apple pie!!! 20000 over MSRP, ok
