2008 GT500 News -- Updated.. NO known HP change in '08 GT500

----UPDATE----2:01pm CST---- What I previously stated, the information we had was not stated clearly and was confusing. It seemed that the GT500 (non-KR) was getting an increase to 540hp, but we have confirmed that this is not the case. What we have confirmed is no official number has been placed for horsepower on the 2008 GT500, but do not know if that means it will or will not change from pervious models.

Sorry guys for the incorrect info.

The upcoming KR is coming with the 540 and starting in Spring 2008. Are you sure the standard one is?

Thats the information that was passed along to me. Brad has a credible source for it, or else I wouldnt have been asked to post it. We have a policy of not posting every little rumor unless we know its a fact from a 100% source and/or the press release is coming.

This thread is a null and void pretty much now. What was stated before about the GT500 being 540hp has now been cleared up and NO numbers have been released or leaked for the 2008 GT500. Sorry guys.

This thread has nothing to do with the GT500 KR. It will be 540hp, this was in regards to the GT500 (non-kr) getting bumped to 540, which we found now to be incorrect.

Nothing is changing to our knowledge in the GT500.
