I believe the word I am looking for is ...

There is only the Shelby GT500 coming out for 2007 model year. There is only the standard option, unless Ford reveals one in the next few weeks. I doubt that as I am sure Brad would have posted something as big as that by now.

Tell your father he might want to find a more knowledgeable dealer. If he definitely wants a automatic he could always get a GT auto with a Roush or Saleen S/C installed on it.

I don't think the Saleens or Roushes come with an auto.

I bet your father was all impressed with the man's inside knowledge.
Did he leave a deposit?

SVT/Cobra models have never had an automatic option before, so I wouldn't hold your breath.

Saleen and Roush can both be ordered with an auto....tel him to go find a Saleen/Roush dealer.

Definately tell him to go check out the Saleens and Roushes. They're good cars and can be ordered with automatics.

Cool, I wasn't sure if you could get them with an automatic or not. That is a nice option for those that are unable to shift through a disability or prefer to let the vehicle do the shifting while they hang on.
