'07 GT500 Traction Issues.
I have an '07 GT500 that I installed a JLT CAI, with a custom tune and Borla cat back exhaust on, and naturally I can't keep the stock tires planted. I'm upgrading to MT drag radials soon, my question is what suspension components would help with traction right off the bat? I plan on buying some lower control arms to get the wheel hop under control. What else will help?
Not so concerned with cornering, mostly straight-line traction.

I would find the best tires I could first. Nice wide summer tire. I would also upgrade uca/lca panhard bar... See how it feels after that. Maybe some adjustable shocks and struts after that.

LCAs with relocators did a good job on my car when it was relatively stock.
Also how often do you drive your car? I used a set of NT05R Drag radials for about 6,000 miles. A drag radial isn't a tire I would recommend for anything other than limited street driving in warm dry weather and even then they are only really useful for their intended purpose.
Combined with the stock type high performance front tires they create schizophrenic handling in the car under duress.

I'm running Nitto NT555s right now and I find them to be about the same as the OE Goodyear's which IIRC Ford selected due to their wet performance.
The Nitro Invo would be the up fit in their line of performance tires, unfortunately I have no experience with them.
Getting a higher quality summer tire like a Michelin requires going to a larger diameter rim unless an all-season tire is an option as Michelin's Pilot A/S 3 is available in the stock size.
The A/S 3 might not sound like a good choice but Michelin is claiming they out perform Conti's Extreme Contact line and Pirelli"s P Zero Nero line in dry handling.
Bridgestone has a summer tire but its a run flat, it's a valid figment because you have TPMS but the tires are heavier and stiffer all of which will degrade the ride on your car and possibly the handling.

The Michelin® Pilot® Sport Cup summer-only tires† deliver powerful performance cornering, race-like reflexes, and consistent performance lap after lap. It’s everything Michelin has learned through its extensive Motorsports experience combined in one tire to achieve 1.13g skid pad and 8% more grip than standard PS2 tires, which amounts to 3 seconds saved per lap at Virginia International Raceway. Available with the PDE Package.
good enough for the Zr1 vette. You can also click on tires in my sig for an old tire test shootout
