07/08 Gt-500 Muffler Info

Just an FYI, the 07/08 Gt-500 Use an 05/06 Gt Automatic Muffler from the Factory. These are the Quietest Mufflers Ford Used on the V-8 Cars. So even a Stick Gt-Muffler would Sound a Bit Rastier! Mine is Definetely TOO QUIET!

Too quiet? Whatcha talkin' about Willis? My wife's V6 with stock '05 5-speed GT mufflers sounds better. What was Ford thinking???

Finally an answer to my burning question about the GT500 mufflers!! I knew it!! My fiance's mother has a GT500 and I have looked at those mufflers before thinking they looked VERY similar, and even sounding very similar.

Bah...why did they do that? So basically that tells us though that any GT exhaust will work.

Correct, But Be Aware that the GT-500 is more Prone to the Dreaded DRONE issue the That the Gt's Experience. So if a Particular Muffler Has A drone Issue on a Gt it will most likely Be worse on a 500. Less is More on the 500! I am Thinking Maybe the Bullitt Mufflers May be the ticket on a 500! We have a Bullitt Ordered and When it hits If the Car Sounds as Bad as Ford is touting I mave have to Test a Set on my 500. I can Wait that long!
