Montreal, your Mach 1's really something...my second favorite Mustang of all time (3rd if I count my '12 GT)...had to be tough letting it go. How long did you own that car?

you don't have to toss the warranty if you go with the Ford Racing Power Upgrade Pkg...it's awesome. I'm extreemely pleased...talk with your Service Mgr about warranty concerns. You'll hear a lot of different opinions about them on the forum.

I figure this would be as good a place as any to introduce myself!
I own a 2012 GT base with the brembo package and in answer to the original question, yes, this is my first Mustang. My first ford (hence the user name!). My first legitimate domestic car. Most of my passion for cars surrounds German vehicles (I still own the VW Corrado that I've owned for 10 years), but of the pony cars, the Mustang has always appealed to me the most. I liked the looks and the motor, but the interior and chassis usually left me cold. Then the 2005 cars came out and I liked the motor, the interior, and body, but the chassis still wasn't where I wanted it. Then the 2011+ cars came out with an awesome motor, great interior, even better exterior, and a very good suspension setup. After checking out various magazine reviews, I started seeing how awesome these cars were, even stock.
Prior to owning the Mustang I owned a Chrysler Crossfire which I got at firesale prices several years back. I loved the styling and the bargain price for Mercedes engineering and equipment. Amazingly stable and smooth on the highway, but just not as engaging as I would have liked. It was a decent enough car though. However, the chrysler dealer had a hell of a time fixing it. In the last six months of ownership, the car was in the shop ever 2 weeks for something the dealer did to the car. They woudl fix one thing and then create 2 more problems that didn't exist before. Terrible service. During this point in time, the car got backed into by a flatbed, which caused $8500 in damage---and the kicker here was that the car was at the dealer when it happened. The tech parked the car in the middle of the driveway.
So I was beyond frustrated with my Chrysler dealer and their feeble attempts to fix the car. In the midst of the frustration, I started to consider another car since used car prices were high and the current car was a mess. I looked into a 370z and the car I have now. I just couldn't justify the higher price of the Z when the Mustang is quicker, has more room, and I think looks a little better. The camaro and challenger, while great looking vehicles with nice grunt, didn't seem like nearly the complete package as the mustang. So I ordered the Mustang the way I wanted it and 2 months later got my silver beauty.
And now, here I am. Not sure where I'm going next, but I'm enjoying the ride in my mustang currently!

I should be a poster child for FORD
This is my First FORD..
I always loved the 68-70 styling.. Fastback or convertibles...They were my 2 choices..
My first car was a 66 GTO, then a 75 Grand Prix .. then blah blah ..03 Grand Prix GTP.. blah blah I ended up selling my 2004 Mini Cooper S and trading in a 2010 Nissan Maxima from a lease on a used 2011 GT Convetible..
My family has been a long standing GM.. my father raced a 67 Camaro RS 396.. He had recently purchased a few Lincolns & Mercs in the late 80's..but he still loves his GM power...
I was looking at the current muscle cars and was very impressed with the Camaro.. and back and forth.. this or that.. Well Needless to say.. You all know where I ended up...

Yes, this is my first Mustang.
Previous cars were a 1998 SVT Contour (R.I.P.) and a 2000 SAAB 9-5.
I love this car. The audio system isn't as nice as the HK in the SAAB, but everything else is fantastic. It's sick how fast this car will get going.

I am buying Kona Blue V6 convertible with Pony package. It will be my first mustang. As a 5-6 year old boy in 1968, I first noticed an orange 1965 mustang on my block and I have been in love with those older model mustangs ever since. By the time I could drive the mustang was not that appealing to me because I loved that early body style so much. Now the design, IMO takes it back to the glory days and my wife and I decided to order this for our 25th anniversary. I can't wait till it arrives. Should be any day now.

Greetings to all. I'm fairly new to the forum business, well at least Mustang forums. I'm on my 5th stang. The first was 93 5.0 LX hatchback then I sold it for a 93 GT which i only had flows on it. I traded that in for a 2000 GT which I had LT, O/R H pipe, flows, steeda cai, flows, 3.73 and a few more goodies. I loved the car and drove it everywhere daily but lived in upstate NY and ended up trading for an 05 Explorer which I still drive to this day. I currently have a white 93 GT convertible with flows I'm slowly restoring. I recently purchased a 11 GT 401 with 3.55 that had 60 miles on it. I'm up to about 400 now and I'm trying to figure what exhaust I want. Torn between Roush and GT500 but I've always loved Flowmasters and the sound it has. Don't drive the car much just a play toy for now until I can get some mods on it. Getting a air raid cai and Bama tune in the next couple of weeks but stuck with the exhaust.

'Tis my first Mustang.
I came from a Mazda RX-8 which I owned for 4 years with unrepentant transmission issues... I miss it sorely, but the Mustang is growing on me by the day.
I, like FirstFord94, was always a bit turned off by the poor reputation Mustangs have in the handling department. When I read about a 2011 Mustang hangin' with a new M3 my right eyebrow shot up.
After thinking and thinking about it I test drove a 2012 5.0 for the heck of it. I was grinning within 20 seconds of the test drive starting, and ended up purchasing a Performance White 2011 GT Premium BBP with 900 miles on it just a week later.

I owned that Mach for 4 years, i did a complete 2 year rotisserie resto with help of a few friends. I spent countless hours restoring this car, but in the end i was afraid to drive it and scared to be involved in an accident. This was no fun at all, so i ended up selling it. It was a #'s matching Mach1 which was sold here in this province in 1969. And it stayed here, which is cool.
