YOU PICK my next mod.....

Im looking into getting some more mods.....I have about $400 to spend now and another $200 coming at the end of the month.

Currently on the way is a GT500 Spoiler and I am installing a CS Front valance in the morning. Already have Drop Springs and axle backs....

PICK FROM ONLY THESE CHOICES:
I will eventually get all....

OPTION #1:APPEARANCE
MRT Front Splitter and ROUSH Side splitters (To compliment my other new appearance mods)

OPTION #2: SUSPENSION
KONI STR.t Struts/Shox & Panhard Bar (to compliment my drop springs)

OPTION #3: PERFORMANCE
Shifter Bracket & Short Throw Shifter, removal of resonators AND FRPP Procal/filter setup (To increase Performance)

Option 2 and 3 are out of the $400 budget, unless you're waiting till the end of the month. I would say go with option 1, but then again I'm partial to the side splitters.

Why not get the full MGW shifter instead of the one you're looking at? Is cost the issue?

Yes I would get the Front Splitter now and get the side ones at the end of the month.

Cost really......but I have tried a few different MGW Shifters in other stangs in my past and have not been a real big fan. I think everyone is all excited about them when they come out but when I try them I do not think they are that great.

I strongly disagree, bro. I too have tried other shifters, and MGW is by far the King. Not flaming you, but can you explain why you don't like them? The MGW mod on my car is probably my fave. It's my "connection" to my car. Everytime I shift, I enjoy feeling "one" with the car. You're the first person I know of that has anything negative to say about the shifter.

So given that, I recommend option 3.... of course, with MGW

It just felt too notchy for me....tried it in the Mach1 , then switched to a HURST and like it MUCH better! I have never tried the Tri-ax shifters though....

It's funny how I can post this same thing on another forum and get an exact opposite!
SVTPerf.com poll shows that everyone on there says to go with the POWER option hahahah, here it shows suspension/handling is the popular choice.

Suspension is usually inexpensive and easy to do. And you can also do it a piece at a time. Go for power because it will be more expensive and is more gratifying. A good suspension is just not as exciting. SVTP guys want the power first and are a little more excitement oriented. Members here are a little more refined. Except for me of course.

The stock dampers blow massive chunks of horse meat, so I voted for the suspension.

Im always looking to upgrade performance...I voted on that since it is most gratifying

Only downside is that your tires will not last as long!!

for $400 I'd install a Ford Racing Pro Cal tune...great improvement in throttle response and low end torque. Car pulls harder throughout, and you don't have the warranty worries you will with after market tunes...and I have no problems what so ever with the stock shifter.

hey freeze...

I agree with you on the procal, as that is on my next to do list. Although, had to comment on your shifter comment. I had no problems with my OEM shifter too, worked just fine. But then when I got my MGW, I realized how vague, imprecise, sloppy, the oem one was. I guess what I'm getting at is... it's hard to know how much better something can be if all we have is that same something... try out the MGW, it's night and day to the OEM.

Remove the resonators and get the ProCal!! The sound improvement will make you smile, and the drivability/performance gains will really make you smile.

Hey man... I have been thinking about getting the 3d carbon spoiler. Do you have to drill new holes on the actual trunk?

Thank's for the tip, Z...btw, years ago my best friend owned a '70 Z w/ serial # 0003457...supposedly they kept the first 2000 in Japan. Guessing yours was a bit newer.

Very Cool! You both are into the hobby. I have the whole family with me here at the Ocala/Silver Springs show for the weekend.
