Get an internet quote. Assuming processing fees aren't too outrageous in your state, you can get most dealers starting BELOW invoice. Much better than the X-Plan.

My car salesman set me up with my X-Plan 5 minutes before he ordered my car for me. Processing Fee would have been $599.95 but with the X-Plan the dealer can only charge me $75.00.

I just found out I can get an X-plan pin through work. But I already ordered my car. If I go in to the dealer is he going to give me crap about... you have to order it as an X-plan order or bla bla bla

They shouldn't, you haven't purchased the car yet.

Car doesn't have to be ordered x-plan. If you are eligible, you are eligible. If they have a problem honoring it find a better dealer.

You have to be a direct relative of a dealer employee and must be able to document the relationship. Ford wasn't as diligent about watching for fraud in the past but they definately watch it now. Any dealer that gives you a fake pin is an idiot.

A BIG +1 on what Paul said. If any dealer does this, they will lose their right to sell plan deals and also the person who gave the PIN will lose their PINs. Ford doesn't take this lightly.

Get a good deal on the car another way and call it a day dude (X-Plan is good).

Question Question for JEFF 05FordGT

Jeff

I'm buying a new 2011 Mustang GT Premium. My concern is, Im going to get financing tomorrow, but my Credit Union has the preapproved check good for 60 days. Another words then- if I preorder the car the way I'd like, you think I'd be able to get it before the 60 days, or at least pay for it in advance so that I dont have to reapply for the loan?

I'm just curious Jeff. Probably others have been in this situation too.

Also, what the best price you get get me as close to X-plan as possible for this:
2011 Mustang 5.0 GT Suggested Retail Dealer Invoice w/holdback
Premium GT 32845 invoice 30265
Destination Delivery 850 850
401a Equipment Package 395 invoice 344
3.73 axle ratio 395 invoice 344
Glass Top 1995 invoice 1736
Brembo Brake Package 1695 invoice 1475
Shaker 1000? 1295 invoice 1127
HID 525 invoice 457
Security Package 395 invoice 344
Rear Video Camera w/o Electronics 385 invoice 335
Comfort Package 595 invoice 518
Total 41370invoice w/holdback total= 37795

Please let me know. Im very serious. Thank You.
Mike

Ipod, you need to call Jeff or send him a PM instead of throwing a request like this out.

You may or may not get your car by then. If you don't get the car before 60 days, then you'll have to re-apply. My advice is to check out other banks and see what they are offering once it gets close. Then you have alternatives if they say they want to change your interest rate.

-OR-

Just wait and get a car off of a dealer's lot. You might get your car quicker that way.

I'm thinking that they're going to be arriving in lots by 60 days from now too... just that I want a Kona Blue 5.0

Join the MCA, they now give X-Plan pricing to their members as a benefit, according to this month's magazine.
