Car and Driver would do a remake of this exact test with 2011 model cars?
Sam Posey at the wheel, a nice road course beneath the tires...
The young guys on here will look at the tires sizes on these cars and won't know what to make of them.
I remember a old Firedbird I had with G-60-14 tires on it that I thought was really hot stuff!
I would absolutely LOVE to have the Mustang from this test.
Come on Car and Driver, do a remake of this test!

Thanks for the post.
It reminds me of how much I wanted one of those cars back then.
I bought my current Stang because I was still looking for something like them.
Check out the stopping distances though.
I'm glad my car can actually stop as well as go.

400hp and only pulling high 13's wow either realy s***y drivers or their HP was grossly over rated
esp when the Mustang weighed in 3100 ish pounds.. yes i know they calculated hp without accessories.

Gross HP back then compared to Net HP now.
majority of the problem was suspension and tires. You can tell it isn't the hp due to the high trap speeds.
