Do you drive the car daily? If not, I won't worry about it. I think sometimes it takes a while for it to read properly. Maybe someone else can chime in. I know my dad's car does this, even though his car is a totally different vehicle. My '16 Ram Sport does this as well. As far as I know, this is normal.

i do drive it daily. what im finding is it will drop in temp quickly as i pull out of the garage and go down the street, and might go down or up a couple degrees as im driving, but it takes like hours in my heated garage before it will read the garage temp...even blowing the hair dryer on it for a while doesnt get it to come up even a degree, but i bet if i let it sit in the garage overnight again it will read mid 50s in the morning.
so basically it just takes hours to come up. i called my ford guy and left a voicemail (off today) so im expecting a call in the morning and hopefully i can bring it by and have a quick look just for peace of mind

Are you keeping the car running when you are testing it in the garage or just keeping the power on, I know there are a few systems in the car that don't run when the car is not running.

I use to have issues with my temp reading before but for some reason it fixed itself. It was reading +15C when it was -20C outside so maybe the ambient temp was blocked by something. I have no clue but for some reason it took 2-3 months for it to work normally again. I did unplug my battery & some fuses to install my radar detector so not sure if that reset the sensor.
