all the electrical is fixed, now just waiting on the PCV tube/hood liner/battery bag, which should be in mid-week, and I'll put in next weekend and we will be back to good as new, yet again.
i guess this is the new normal, a live peanut butter trap in front of the car in the driveway at all times I guess...for a while anyway
at least it gives me a reason to wake up in the morning
Nice car!!!! Now I see why it's in the garage.
I had a '91 Camaro RS that I bought myself after graduating high school and working the work force. I was working for about a year and saving my money. That was my present to myself.
**** I feel for you. Last year I went through the same thing with two very hungry rats. They ate my firewall insulation. They ate my harness and other goodies they could get their little rat mouths around. They even scratched my strut tower brace using it as a runner. I have thread here somewhere about it I think. Anyway it was about $2,500.00 in damages, but luckily my insurance company was great and it cost me the deductible of $500.00. I loaded that engine bay with moth crystals every couple of days to the point that could knock you out just going near the driveway.
It's been a year I think and no return. I found two dead rats at the foot of my driveway during my rat-a-geddon. At first I thought they might have chowed down on the moth crystals (I quickly stopped using them out of fear I might kill other more car friendly animals), but I think they got to a trap in my yard that the company I hired months before to keep the house mouse free placed there.
I am so paranoid that their relatives will come back for retribution that I look under the cover of my car and hood every couple of days while I'm storing it for the winter. I also spray engine treatment that is a critter repellent too. After smelling rat urine and rat turds in my car every time I'd put the ac or heat on was and is enough for me to try anything to keep them away.

With all the reading I did on this subject I feel like adding a trap with food might be inviting something that would not normally show up. Good luck!
Came out of WORK today, 3rd floor concrete ramp with no trees anywhere, not that reach 3rd floor anyway, and found this little ****er looking at me, caught red handed:
Getting started again:
Insulation:
Took more headliner, a little more of the battery bag too.
Also took some insulation from one of the headlight or blinker wires:
Worst of all, he started eating lines in the brake system:
I started the car and the advance trac, stability control, and brake lights were on with a flashing red warning telling me to check the brake system. Thankfully, I still have actual brakes.
So I learned two things:
1) It's a squirrel
2) It's happening at work
3) I'll probably have to park and ride to work from here on out effective immediately which is an enormous pain in the *** and nearly as expensive as driving
4) I'll be contacting the management of my work building as well as everyone in my office letting them know of the issue and to check their cars
At least now you know that it's a da*n squirrel at your work place and not in front of your garage.. So now it's up to management to call in Orkin or Terminix pest control to get rid of that f***ing critter
I f'ing hate squirrels. Didn't used to care but a family got into my attic by ripping down some soffit.
The most irritating part is that they have this arrogance about it. I'll see them chilling on my patio shredding some patio furniture and when I go out to chase them they just run up the wall and bark at me like it's their house and I'm intruding or something!
Now when I see any squirrel I want to kill it. Saw one freshly hit by a car the other day flopping around. Huge smile on my face.

That sucks bro!! At least you know it's not from home. Hopefully the traps will help. Good luck!
