Right on the money. I find it interesting to see the broad range of opinions on the Mustang and they generally run towards age range. Here we have some folks who decry the quality of the interior comparing it to more expensive imports and in other threads we see people inquiring about putting on racing stripes, giant rear wings, 1,400 extra decals, and completely pimping out the interior with more chrome and bolt ons. But, to each his own. I did as much research as I could before buying my Mustang, much of it on this site, and was very pleased with what I ended up with. I knew the pro's and con's of the Mustang long before I plunked my money down and I'm quite happy with it, even with some of the flaws (windshield rattle being the biggest issue).

Which plastics would those be? I've had mine for almost a year now. No squeeks or rattles from the plastic parts. The noise in my car comes from the steeda shifter and the watts link with rod ends. But hey I expected those to happen. Are you sure your driving an s197?
