Are you certain the "000353" is an invoice sequential number, since the invoices are created a week before the production date?

I have trace several cars built around mine and this number my have to due with the built day sequence.

The four digit number with the column heading of ?? I do not know what it means, It does show up on the build sheets and component labels on the new 2011 F150 along with the blend #.

How are we supposed to track the car once it has left the factory...Do we call the rail/truck line directly with the VIN#?

You are at the mercy of your dealer for that. Some go to the Blue Oval forums to get a ford employee to track their orders on his free time, but that seems overkill to me. I have been waiting since November for this. One or two days earlier or later than the ETA really does not bother me enough to go through all the many hoops to find out exactly where it is.

 

Once you get the rail car number (dealer can get this from the vehicle visibility) you can the rail company. They have an automated system that works pretty good. You tell the automated system the rail car number and it will tell you where the car is and at what time it was there.

As for the trucking, it might be a bit tougher. They do give you a truck number, but I'm not sure how easy it is to get the information from them.

 

I wouldn't put too much faith in the ETA. Last one I got was 5/1. It's sitting in my garage right now.

 

The cars can be 'invoiced' in any order as well, so the order does not need to respect either the VIN, or the Blend#'s. I don't know about the last four digit # as I do not follow the trucks at all.

 

Just got my VIN. ETA is 5/27. I ordered mid-April. Hopefully it stays on schedule.

 

What does the 9h character stand for the decoder says "check didgit" what is this?

 

The check digit is determined by a mathematical formula that confirms the validity of your VIN with law enforcement.

 

My dealer just let me know my VIN number. I didn't have the heart to tell him that Deysha told me last week.

I'm scheduled for a 10/10 week build and estimated delivery 10/24 week. When should I expect the window sticker to be available? Neither site gives me anything.
