Will i lose noticeable torque from a cat delete???

I am thinking of either cat delete pipes or a lethal performance off road H. I have heard a few stories about people jumping in the car afterwards(with a tuner) and feeling like the bottom end just wasnt there. Im do not want to lose torque. 5 ft lbs isnt a big deal if i gain 13 hp.... Any before i pull the trigger??

P.S. - My BAMA sct X4 will be here in a few days

I have an off road X with my headers and I honestly couldn't feel any loss of anything.

You shouldn't lose any torque at all. If anything, you'll pick up more torque at higher RPM and even more horsepower. I think you'll be very pleased with the results of a highflow mid-pipe or cat deletes!

You won't necessarily lose torque but it may shift the torque curve higher in the rpm range. So yes you may lose just a little on the low end. But with the tuner and no cats you should gain a lot of hp/tq also so you shouldn't notice a loss. If all you did was delete the cats, you may notice the loss. The exhaust back pressure actually helps on the low end but robs high end. Just slightly though.

Just a question, not trying to be a smart a$$. But, how do you get a state inspection without the cats?

I live in a state that doesn't require it lol. That's how. I was previously stationed in Texas, and put the headers and OR X pipe on after it got inspected. Now I'm stationed in Florida and my Texas registration expires in July so I'll be registering it for my Florida address. And since Florida doesn't have any state inspection it won't matter that I have no cats. And then from there I'll keep my Florida registration as long as I possibly can even via mail if possible when I get stationed somewhere else that does have inspection.

lose torque? Why would you lose torque if you reduce back-pressure? If an engine is properly tuned, it won't lose TQ or HP when removing the cats. If it does, then the tune is crap.

Haha I'm just playing by the rules that are given in this case. Have to use it to your advantage.
