I ran 1" spacers on my SN95 for 5 years, 100k (hard) miles, dozens of mountain road passes on crap roads, been t-boned and still no issues. Maximum Motorsports wouldn't sell them if they weren't safe. I also run their .25" front spacer which is the max you can go without needing longer studs.

OP, no one knows for sure how much of a spacer you'd need, but I'd imagine you'd be safe with .5" but I'd go 1" all around. Get the ones that bolt on so you don't have to worry about longer studs. It will give your car a wider stance and look great! are you lowered too?
Sounds like pretty good testing...should be no issues with the lugs with that style... perhaps the wheel bearings might be up to the task after all.

I figure if I can't use my stock wheels I'm gonna just get new ones. I don't want to use spacers.

I ran spacers for a time until I was able to afford a set of wheels that fit without spacers.

The only issue I had with my spacers was when the dealer removed my wheels and spacers to change-out the steering rack and then never tightened the spacer back onto the hub. Came off while going around a corner.....

This was a dealer mistake and not a fault of the spacer. My spacers bolted to the hub and then the wheel bolted to the spacer.
