I think i will use 255/45's when my stockers are worn out. Some good choices in that size. The manufacturer data sheets i looked at stated they are ok on a 8 inch rim.

A 255 will fit the rim but it won't be optimum. If you have the 8" wide 18" wheels then I wouldn't go above a 245. You will lose sharpness as the sidewall won't be supported to the full extent. Think about it...a 255mm tire is 10" wide, you are putting it on a 8" wide wheel. There will be 1" overhang on each side of the rim. My opinion, which I am sure there will be a dissenting opinion, I would stick with the 245.

like he said ^ you could get away with 255's but 245's are really the optimal size, that's what i have on mine, don't even think about putting 275's unless u get wider rims.

Notice on the Brembo cars its a 255 on a 9" wide rim.

i bought a new 2012 premium v6 mustang yesterday and i did not know it didnt have a spare tire and i am mad as hell. i cannot find a rim that will fit my mustang, it is a 235x50x18 and i cant find out for sure anywhere not even the dealer but i would believe that it is a 8.5 also in the handbook it says dont call a wrecher to change your flat if you dont have a spare, what a joke.i will make my own spare and just throw it in the trunk because it sure wont firt in the doughnut hole. whey did ford even make a donut hole if you cant find a tire to fit in it. but i cant find the right rim. does anyone know what to do and what will work
