235 is way too skinny for a car with this much power. Will 255's fit on the stock 18 inch rims?

I run 255/45 Nitto's on my 18X8.5 wheels and that is what is recommended.

I think i will use 255/45's when my stockers are worn out. Some good choices in that size. The manufacturer data sheets i looked at stated they are ok on a 8 inch rim.

Would 275's fit also or is that too wide of a tire for the stock rim?

that's too wide for an 8" rim. the Boss 302R comes with 275's and those are on 10" wide wheels

A 255 will fit the rim but it won't be optimum. If you have the 8" wide 18" wheels then I wouldn't go above a 245. You will lose sharpness as the sidewall won't be supported to the full extent. Think about it...a 255mm tire is 10" wide, you are putting it on a 8" wide wheel. There will be 1" overhang on each side of the rim. My opinion, which I am sure there will be a dissenting opinion, I would stick with the 245.

like he said ^ you could get away with 255's but 245's are really the optimal size, that's what i have on mine, don't even think about putting 275's unless u get wider rims.

An 8 inch wide wheel is the minimum size for a 255/45 18, 9 inch minimum for a 275/40 18

I was curious about a similar thing. What would be the maximum size for the CS wheels? They're 19"x8.5". Could I do a 255?

Yes, that would work as they are running a 255/40/19 on the V6 cars with the PP. I feel in reality a 255 will work best with a 9" wide rim but 8.5" will work.

Notice on the Brembo cars its a 255 on a 9" wide rim.

Thats only because of it being a very tall sidewall and the tread won't be cupped inward, however, it won't be optimum.
