Widest tire on a Track Pack wheel?
I am looking for a new set of Wheels Track pack I hope. But want to put the widest tires in the rear. What can I put on with out rubbing?
Also could I go wider with a different set of rims?
I have a 2014 GT with track pack.

People have put 285/35s on the 19x9s but I wouldn't run more than a 275/40 or 275/35. 275/35 will keep your diameter the same as the stock 255/40s: 275/40s will give you another 1/2" in diameter which will be equal to the height of the standard GT 235/55 or 245/45 tires.

Laser. Thank you
Yea I knew you could just wanted to know for 2 reasons.
For the Drag strip needing a wider and taller tire. Went racing and turn amazing times but need a little more tracking going into 2nd.
For the Street needing just a little wider. I would like to keep the Track Rims.

Of course you can go wider with different wheels silly!

One of the more popular choices appears to be the Pilot Supersport 275/40/19 but if you're drag racing you may not want to lower your final drive...in which case, the 285/35/19, particularly when cornering isn't a priority, may be worth considering since you'll lose ~.3" and raise your final drive ratio a bit.
Otherwise, you might consider buying a set of 15" drag-only wheels for the rear and run some serious tire for the strip.

I've decided on going with 275/40/19 all around as it seems like the best balance between being a bit wider yet not too wide so as to squirm around on the rim during back roads hooliganism...plus, according to my various GPS devices, my speedometer consistently reads 2-3mph high and the taller tire would probably make it spot-on accurate.

I love that look too...but that's not my car. I just grabbed that one off of AM's web page for you.
I'm more of a corner-carver. I couldn't live with the skinny tires in the front.
The big problem with our track pack/Brembo wheels is that they're only 9" wide...which is why you might consider some aftermaket wheels if you want to wider than 275.

Was just wondering if some can post a picture of the 285/35's on the Track Pack Wheel? Just curious if the sidewall looks funny due to the wide tire on a 9" wide wheel?...

Jazz, I've heard of quite a few people doing 275/40 on the Brembo wheels.
I've stuck with my 255/40 setup for now, but for track days I put 275/40 setup on 19x9.5 wheels to keep the proper footprint and sidewall angles. Here is a few pics

Monster, Love the wheels and the set up you have. What are they and where did you get them?

They are 5lbs lighter than stock Brembo wheels, and can fit up to 285 rubber within spec. For $189 each they were a good deal.

My local track is an 1/8 mile. There is a new owner and is re doing the entire complex. It was test and tune night along with import and Mustang heads up racing.
I had the quickest mustang there. I am not sure what is in the Track Pack but it must be more than the Brakes and 3.73. I was pulling a full second quicker then most or the other Mustangs and 1.5 second quicker then alot of the cars. I beat a 2 pro cars. I had a blast. Track was sprayed and I let the big tire cars run first. The 2 SCT tuner Trucks Kicked off the night. I was pulling around 8.6 no tunes bone stock. All I have is a Steeda Catch Can. Now the tuning begins.
