Why Would Someone Cut Throttle Body Sensor Cables?

Noticed on my 2012 Mustang GT that the throttle body sensor had been cut and then reattached. I bought used from a dealer who had no idea but looked around to see what mods involved cutting the throttle body sensor cables but could not find anything. Anyone have any idea?

Or they had like a Cobra Jet Intake, CJ Throttle Body, and instead of re- pinning, they cut and spliced the original plug back, instead of re-pinning.

Yep, sounds like demodded from cj (as stated above) back to stock tb plug. I had to literally cut my plug open to get the pins to release. Lol...your car has been hammered on by previous owner.

I agree, While instaling my CJ Intake I also had to cut and destroy the Throttle Body Plug, getting the pins out was impossible! I think this is what happened to your car by the previous owner.

Don't worry about it. Pick up a CJ intake setup and go at it!
