2012 Mustang Optima Battery

Has anyone been able to install an optima battery on a 2011 - up mustang. After driving mine today I realized its new battery time I have the original from the factory still. I have always had good luck with optimas but can't find any posts on if anyone has installed one. Thank you

I can't imagine that it wouldn't fit. I have Red Tops in my Mountaineer and Lightning. When the time comes, I will put one in the Mustang, as well.

What's the concern?

I'm more interested in slapping in a golf cart battery!

Lots of choices out there now for "upgrade" batteries. I wouldn't even count Optima if you want to save weight. Quite a bit of discussion in general about Optima quality going south in recent years. I know I personally had 2-3 dead red tops. I had a yellow top in a Jeep that faired a bit better. There was a time and day where Optima's were the only choice, now, there is a myriad of "better" choices... Do some homework before committing. my .02/YMMV etc...
