The only Brembo cars they had locally were a Silver with 3.55s (I wanted 3.73s) and the Shaker 1000 among other things (I didn't want the 1000), and a Red Candy (not a fan), so I ended up finding a car that Modshack spec'd at my friend's dealership out in St. Louis... I drove 900 miles to St. Louis in the Z and 900 miles back in the Mustang.

Back in June, they were virtually nowhere to be found on lots. My dealer said most customers wouldn't care or even know what a brembo package is, so they didn't order any. Had I known they would be so hard to find when I was shopping, I would have custom ordered months in advance specifically for the bremo pkg.

I wanted a 300A GT with Brembos/3.73 .I hate leather seats and if you find a dealer with a base 300A it just a 300A most dealer use that car as a leader car for a low price to get people in so they don't have any thing on them.I had to order mine to get what i wanted.

My dealer had just what I was looking for but in the wrong color. It also had about 110 test drive ( beat down ) miles on it. I opted to order just what I wanted.

Very few Brembo GT's at the dealers in the north east. The lower-profile summer tires, crappy roads and cold-weather months probably are a big factor in many folks minds. Seems the further south you go, the more Brembo's are on the lot (and more Mustangs in general).

I went by Crossroads Ford in Cary, NC and they have 4 base '11 GT's with the BREMBO brake package, They all MSRP at 32,980,,

They had at least one premium coupe that I glanced at,, MSRP was 38-something ,, I couldn't look at it long as I start having allergic reactions to vehicles that cost more than my first house,,

I swear in Socal I could count on one-hand how many Brembo cars I've come across.

And surely I'll have to give up on finding a GT premium w/ 3.73s, Brembos, Glass Roof without ordering it.

When my ordered Brembo Base GT showed up at the dealership they were shocked to see such a nice looking package. It was is if I had ordered something "Special".

Yeah, you have a pretty unusual option list there. Mostly only performance guys are going to want the Brembo package, and performance guys tend not to get the glass roof for those same concerns. I mean true the Glass Roof is really surprisingly light, but it'd be hard to get that across to some people, and many dealers probably don't know that to begin with. It's a complex game. Still, if you did want to go for it, no harm in asking a dealer to see if they find one. For me I had a very, very specific list of options so I just decided to save myself the trouble and custom order it. It was pretty fun to just roll through Ford's online customizer and pick everything just as I wanted.

I think dealers have done a terrible job of guessing what the public wants.

The only cars that have the Brembo package around me are stripped-down models with virtually no options other than 3.73 gearing.

All the cars that have the options I want (HID, comfort, electronic pkg) are either automatics or are the GT/CS cars...what I consider cars aimed at people who don't care about performance.

My advice to the OP - if you care one ounce about performance (and resale) GET the Brembo package. Yes, it makes a difference and yes it is WELL worth the $1600.

Well, dealers have to order what they think will sell. Ultimately if you can't find what you want on the lot you need to order. Or do what I did and expand your search nationwide. I drove out to St. Louis (900 miles) to get my 5.0. Granted it helps to be friends with the owner of the dealership... lol.

They had this same problem with the '05 launch and the higher than anticipated uptake of the interior upgrade package. MyColor was a huge hit, and they had to retool to accommodate the demand. Same goes for the security package. Much higher uptake than projected.

Possibly another reason why 2011 is a short model year. Gives them the opportunity to fix quirks and retool the line based on consumer demand from 2011.
