Why is this becoming a thing?

Thank you! I am talking about subtle lights like the ambient lighting that Ford puts in some of their cars. People who normally aren't into cars, aren't aware that they come that way and are usually a little wowed by the lighting. I am not saying go full on fast and furious neon racer but subtle lighting can be classy.

I get what you're saying brother, It's just the emblem statement came outta left field. I thought this was a "neon" discussion. I guess it's just a ricer thread now
...but I agree, axles should break and all the rods should go through the block! Hahah

If you're the only one with neon, and it's done in moderation, you stand out.
If you park next to 6 other cars with neon, it gets old quick. ( same with black wheels )
Fads come & go, the trick is to mod your car so it stands out.....& doesn't look like everybody else's ride.

I have blue led lights under my strut bar. I attend a local car meet every Saturday and when its dark out the lights help show off the engine bay. Not sure why people call this a ricer add on but it sure shows off that Ford engineering

So mustangs by their true nature (Ford Designed and Factory Installed) are ricers?

I've been seeing it more and more now. I know its "my car i'll do what i want to it" but in my teen years neon lights and other neon accents were considered rice material... now its spilling over into mustangs and other muscle cars.
There is a well respected cobra on instagram that is all about it and to me it detracts away from the car.
Am I the only one that is noticing this growing trend? And why is it growing? Is it due to the fact others are doing it and so you might as well too?
