When people cut the lawn next to your car do you want to choke them?

Same here, I don't have to worry about neighbors. But it does seem that every time I get one of the Mustangs out for a ride in the warm months, some a-hole is mowing his yard or bank and throwing it toward the road (and around here that means slinging rocks) or is running a weed eater slinging rocks and **** as I pass. I move over into the other lane as far as possible and stand on it to get by ASAP.
When I'm mowing next to the road, I always stop when I see a car coming (any car, even a piece of ****) just out of common courtesy.

I hear ya. Much respect!! I would do the same.
Something tells me you and Flagstaff do well for yourselves... I'd rather be blown in a GT500 like you but I'll settle for a sloppy one in my GT As long as that wh*re doesn't touch anything...

Well one of mine is black and shows every little thing, and the other is a metallic blue and one of the first color coat/clear coat paint jobs around this area at the time back in the day, it has been pristine for several decades, any little nick pisses me off.

Its nothing special because its not a Boss or a Mach, but it was bought new by my uncle and sold to my dad in 72' and now its mine.
Its nothing special, but it does look good considering it was a daily driver for 170,000 miles until it was restored in the 80s.

Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt your 2010-2014 thread with pics of an old POS.
Back to topic, I agree, I hate when people sling **** all out toward the road when I'm driving by in the GT500. Pisses me off, they could at least stop when I come by. I do when people drive by my home when I'm mowing next to the road.

When I cut grass in front of my house, I always take a good look for upcoming cars in my direction. if I see a nice car muscle/classic/exotic etc. Heading in my direction, I always shot down the lawnmower to let them pass. Maybe even put my hand up as a gesture so they might see me And maybe realize and give some respect.
Normally this wouldn't be an issue sense there are six 15' Holly trees on the line between his yard and my yard/driveway.. but he insists on cutting the 4' patch of grass (on my property) between his trees and my driveway, even if I've already cut it! We've talked several times about it and all that has accomplished is that he now points the discharge towards the trees instead of me. (-.-)
This has been going on for 5+ yrs now...
I am whining dammit!! But seriously, I don't have a garage and instead of playing musical cars I leave it on the street. I do have a very nice fitted cover but taking it off and putting it on everyday lasted about a week. I'm actually pretty good about keeping an eye on it, this time I lost the battle.
I thought all you lawn freak city boys had grass catchers. Who the hell blows grass out the side these days?

Its nothing special nowadays (never has been really), but back in the early 80's when it was done it was unique. It was one of the first DuPont color coat/clear coat paint jobs in the area. Back then the paint job on the car cost more than the car was worth since it was just a 302 2bbl car originally, only saving grace was that it had been in one family since new and still is 40+ years later.

I want to rant briefly, and I know others will connect with this. I have to park my car on the street most of the time. When I come out and some clown has cut his lawn, but more specifically uses a weed-whacker to edge it on the curb next to my car, I think of the different ways I could disfigure that person. Now I have to go clean the grass off my car and hope no stones were kicked up against the paint! Bye, guys!

After awhile it would stop being a lawn and then it would look nice again. The problem is the time period between being a lawn and completion of a return to a natural state with wild flowers, etc and so on.
As to the OP, dense areas where one has to park on the street and wanting to keep a car nice are generally incompatible with each other unless one has the means to pay for parking/garage in such an area.

I don't mind the grass being cut as much as where the discharge is aimed. I can deal with some dust and grass but I hate to hear the blade pick up and sling something solid out from under the mower.
Nothing like some tool slinging rocks out from under the mower and peppering your car.
